Toots Thielemans - Images
Jean Toots Thielemans virtually introduced the chromatic harmonica as a jazz instrument and his performances can be heard on some of the best selling pop records of the last century.

Images is very much the first and best true jazz album that Thielemans made. Recorded in 1974, Thielemans spent a long time deciding on who should be in the band. The key musician was always going to be a pianist Joanne Brackeen, with whom he had spent an afternoon improvising. Also in the band came Freddie Waits on drums and Cecil McBee on bass.

Images is a great jazz album from a master of his instrument, and the most representative album he ever made.
