Bud Shank - Live at the Haig
On the first Monday of 1956, Bud Shank started a quartet with Claude Williamson (piano), Don Prell (bass) Chuck Flores (drums). Their first gig took place at The Haig club in Los Angeles, the focal point of the new modern jazz sounds nurturing in the city during the early-mid fifties.

This was to be the venue where this pulsating set was recorded, marking history as it was one one of the first to be made in stereo.

The group remained together from 1956 to early 1959. They recorded six albums in total, four as a quartet, two as a quintet.
