Today, Kyle Eastwood is more and more universally respected as an artist in his own right. Now a virtuoso bassist and composer, he is right at the forefront of the contemporary jazz scene, having chosen to immerse himself in the music he loves. with this new album, Kyle set out to capture the sound and energy with which his band successfully tour across the world.

When he is not on tour, Kyle spends much of his time between Paris and Los Angeles and is very much at home in France, so it was naturally to look there for an ideal place in which he and his musicians could relax for a few days, allow their creative juices to flow. Such a place turned out to be the fabulous 15th century Chateau Couronneau in Ligueux, deep in classic Bordeaux wine country and hence, Songs from the Chateau was created. To achieve the authentic sound of Kyle's All Star band on display here, producer Crofoton Orr and the engineering skills of Simone Griva were enlisted and long -time collaborate Michael Stevens (co-writer with kyle of film scores) was on board too.
